Siemon Cat6 Category 6 UTP 5M Modular Patch Cords Cable

Siemon Cat 6 Patch Cord 5M

The Siemon Cat 6 Patch Cord 5M is a Category 6 unshielded twisted pair modular cord for dependable network connections. If you are searching for Siemon Cat6 Category 6 UTP 5M Modular Patch Cords Cable, this product is an excellent choice. Its five-metre length suits offices, server rooms, data centres, and organised home networks. Moreover, its flexible stranded construction makes installation easier between patch panels, switches, wall outlets, computers, and other compatible Ethernet equipment.

Product Overview

This Category 6 modular cord forms an important part of a structured cabling channel. It provides a ready-made connection between equipment fitted with standard RJ45 network interfaces. Therefore, installers can deploy it quickly without terminating connectors at the installation site.

Siemon uses 250 MHz rated stranded cordage to support Category 6 transmission performance. In addition, a patented cross-pair isolator helps maintain pair geometry inside the plug. Its 360-degree crimp also provides effective plug-to-cable strain relief without deforming the internal wire pairs.

Key Features

• Five-metre cable length: Provides useful reach between network equipment while supporting neat cable routing in cabinets, offices, and equipment rooms.
• Category 6 performance: The 250 MHz rated cordage supports compliant Category 6 structured cabling installations.
• Stranded cable construction: Improves flexibility, making the cord easier to route and reposition when network layouts change.
• Cross-pair isolator: Helps maintain wire-pair separation within the plug for stable transmission performance.
• 360-degree plug crimp: Strengthens the cable-to-plug connection and provides strain relief without changing the pair layout.
• RJ45 modular connections: Connects compatible Ethernet switches, routers, patch panels, network outlets, computers, servers, and Internet Protocol devices.
• Power over Ethernet support: Supports IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at, and IEEE 802.3bt applications, allowing compatible devices to receive power and data through network cabling.
• Colour identification options: Removable clips support colour coding, which can make cable tracing and network management easier.

Common Applications

The Siemon Cat 6 Patch Cord 5M suits structured network connections in offices, schools, hotels, retail premises, data centres, server rooms, and home offices. For example, installers can use it between a patch panel and switch inside a cabinet. It can also connect a computer, network printer, Internet Protocol phone, or other compatible device to a network outlet.

Because it supports recognised Power over Ethernet standards, the cord can also form part of a compliant connection for powered network devices. However, the complete cabling channel and connected equipment must support the required power level.

Why Choose This Product?

The cord combines Category 6 performance with a flexible design for routine network patching. Furthermore, its cross-pair isolator and 360-degree crimp help protect transmission performance at the plug. The five-metre length also offers practical reach where shorter cords cannot connect equipment neatly.

The Siemon Cat 6 Patch Cord 5M is therefore a suitable choice for installers and network administrators who need an organised, standards-compliant modular connection. It supports common Ethernet equipment and several Power over Ethernet types without requiring field termination.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cable length?

The modular cord measures five metres, which equals approximately 16.4 feet. This length provides useful reach between network cabinets, work areas, wall outlets, and compatible Ethernet devices.

What network interfaces can it connect?

It uses modular RJ45 connections. Therefore, it can connect compatible switches, routers, patch panels, network outlets, computers, servers, printers, and Internet Protocol phones.

What is the cable’s rated frequency?

The stranded cordage carries a 250 MHz rating. This rating supports its use within standards-compliant Category 6 cabling systems.

Does it support Power over Ethernet?

Yes. The cord supports IEEE 802.3af Type 1, IEEE 802.3at Type 2, and IEEE 802.3bt Types 3 and 4. The connected equipment and the remaining cabling channel must also support the required standard.

Is this a shielded patch cord?

No. This model belongs to Siemon’s Category 6 unshielded twisted pair modular cord range. It is intended for compatible Category 6 UTP structured cabling systems.
