Warranty Terms And Conditions

1. Warranty Coverage

Dataworld Systems Limited (“Dataworld”) offers this Warranty to the original purchaser (“Buyer”) of its IT products (“Product”) sold through its authorized channels in Kenya. This Warranty is subject to the following terms and conditions.

2. Warranty Period

Dataworld provides a limited warranty for the Product, which commences from the date of purchase by the Buyer and extends for a period of 12 months.

3. Warranty Coverage

  1. Dataworld warrants that the Product will be free from defects in parts, materials, or manufacturing under normal use during the 12-month warranty period.
  2. The Product is considered defective if it fails to perform the functions as indicated in the operation manuals, technical specifications, or any other similar documents supplied with the equipment, and the failure is due to internal device characteristics.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty specifically excludes the following:

  1. Consumables or parts with limited regular functionality due to natural wear and tear.
  2. Software by third-party manufacturers or vendors installed on the device under repair and delivered along with the device to our Service Center.
  3. Loss and restoration of any software or data.
  4. Mechanical or electric damages resulting from incorrect installation, configuration, usage, or other activities inconsistent with the operation of the device.
  5. Damages caused by acts of God, floods, fires, lightning, other natural disasters, wars, unexpected events, inappropriate voltage, defective supply materials, or other external factors.
  6. Devices that have been tampered with by the Warranty beneficiary or any other person in any way, including willful constructional variations, modifications, and adjustments.
  7. Devices with serial numbers that differ from the originally supplied device or equipment.
  8. Activities specified in the operation manual, which remain the sole responsibility of the Customer at their own expense.
  9. Defects resulting from the usage of improper or non-genuine supply materials.
  10. Inability to operate or Damages due to the user’s fault or lack of knowledge.
  11. Defective functioning of the device caused by a conflict or incompatibility between software applications installed on the damaged device or on the equipment with which the device permanently cooperates, in accordance with the intended purpose of the device.

5. Warranty Transfer

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the Product.

6. Governing Law

These Warranty Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes arising from or related to this warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

7. Changes to Warranty

Dataworld reserves the right to modify or amend these Warranty Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

8. Separate Agreements

This General Warranty Terms and Conditions may be changed if the client and Dataworld Systems Limited establish different conditions in a separate agreement, and the provisions thereof supersede the respective provisions of the Privacy and Terms and Conditions.
