Ubiquiti U7 Long-Range Access Point U7-LR

Ubiquiti U7 Long-Range Access Point U7-LR

The Ubiquiti U7 Long-Range Access Point U7-LR is a compact WiFi 7 access point for businesses, institutions, and advanced home networks. It delivers long-range coverage, high throughput, and stable performance for many connected users. In addition, it integrates seamlessly with UniFi Network, giving IT teams and integrators at Dataworld Systems Limited an easy way to deploy and manage reliable wireless across multiple sites.

Product Overview

This long-range UniFi access point combines WiFi 7 technology with a low-profile, ceiling-mount form factor. Therefore, it fits neatly into modern offices, hospitality spaces, classrooms, and retail environments without drawing attention. The 160 m² (1,750 ft²) coverage area helps reduce dead zones in open spaces and long corridors.

Moreover, the U7-LR WiFi 7 access point uses 5 spatial streams and advanced MU-MIMO to serve many devices at once. As a result, it supports demanding workloads such as HD video meetings, cloud apps, and POS systems while keeping latency low. Management through UniFi Network makes it straightforward to scale from a single AP to campus-wide deployments.

Key Features

• WiFi 7 performance – Next-generation 802.11be standard delivers higher throughput and lower latency for modern applications.

• Dual-band operation – 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios offer excellent compatibility with both legacy and new client devices.

• High data rates – Up to 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz support video streaming, VoIP, and large file transfers.

• 5 spatial streams with MU-MIMO – Handles many users at the same time, so performance stays consistent in busy areas.

• Long-range coverage – Designed for up to 160 m² (1,750 ft²), helping you cover larger rooms and open-plan spaces with fewer APs.

• 2.5 GbE uplink port – Ensures the wired backhaul keeps up with the wireless capacity, even in high-traffic networks.

• PoE-powered – Runs on PoE (42.5–57V DC), so you can power and connect it over a single Ethernet cable.

• Flexible mounting – Ceiling or wall mounting with an included plastic plate for neat, professional installations.

• Smart roaming – 802.11r, 802.11k, and 802.11v features help clients roam smoothly between UniFi APs without drops.

• Guest access options – Supports captive portals, vouchers, payment-based login, PPSK, and password access for secure guest WiFi.

• Network control – Tools such as client isolation, guest network isolation, VLAN assignment, and speed limiting enhance security and control.

• WiFi schedules – Configure time-based wireless policies to match business hours or specific usage patterns.
